Going through the motions....

Long time no write! :P

School has been...interesting for that past week. The entire high school just got back from being a week on trips. Mine was fun, but I'm glad that it lasted for only a week. It felt much longer than a week and by the end of it, I kind of wanted to go home, since I was getting tired of having to stay in a hotel room and keep my room clean, not to mention that I was always watching out for someone else's back. Oh well, so yeah, we got back and then all Hell broke loose. Bit of an exaggeration there, but it describes the feelings of hostility between everyone. It was/is pretty bad. A few students were caught drinking on the trips, and those who were seniors are not allowed to walk (or rather, some of them). It's a hugely controversial issue in my school right now, and while it sometimes makes each day VERY long and tiring, it makes it...interesting, since there's always something going on now. My senior class has been taking a really active role in trying to stand up for these students, including making petitions, wearing our senior class shirts and posting up signs all over the high school. They're even trying to get the Administration to change the students' punishments. I dunno how that went, but frankly, I don't think that it's going to go well. Yeah, so it's kind of like a big fight between students and admin, but there is also some division among our class, too. It's getting me quite annoyed, actually. While I think that the 'not walking' rule is pretty harsh, I think that it was stupid for those students to even run the risk of getting caught drinking in the first place. They had signed a contract saying that they would not drink, the consequence being that they would not walk. Now that the trips are over and the students caught, they should pay for their bad decisions. It's a shame that some of my fellow students can't walk, but given the conditions, I think that it's a lesson to be learned. To put it bluntly, they had it coming. I personally don't agree with changing their punishments, since it would be like giving them 'the easy way out', something that DEFINITELY won't be a luxury later in life. *sigh* Geez, high school is so dramatic..."an OC drama" as one of my friends put it.

Anyways, so that took up most of my post. I have a physics review tomorrow...I can't believe that the exams are coming up soon, then *pffttt*, the year will be over. Ugh, it's gonna be tough leaving. But I think that the rest of this year is gonna be.....fun :) Oh, I'm leaving to China this Wednesday to attend a BEIMUN conference. I'm actually kinda looking forward to it. Not the travelling part, though, since I JUST got back from a trip, and I have to PACK AGAIN and I also don't wanna fall behind in work. Luckily it's the end of the quarter. Hopefully I won't miss too much, then. Only time will tell, as they say.

ARghhhhhhhhh........okay, I'm all about blogged out. Speaking of which, I still have to write an entire journal to turn in. Man, this sux!

L8er,

P.S. The above picture is something I did on my free time. I drew the girl and then played around with Photoshop for a while (used pictures of galaxies and stuff). In my mind, the big balls of colors look like fairies in a tree, but don't ask me to explain that. :P It's just what I think.

Oh, listening to "Will You Light My Candle?" from the Musical "RENT", which I still want to see REALLY badly :(
